Mission Partners

National CASA gratefully acknowledges our 2011 Mission Partners—the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and Jewelers for Children—who have made generous aggregate contributions of $1 million or more, including capacity-building grants to member programs.

"The work of CASA volunteers is so important. Not only must we prosecute those who abuse children. We must also address the physical and emotional needs of children who have been abused. And we must ensure that abused children receive the best possible outcomes when they have their day in court. We are so thankful for the work that the National CASA Association and CASA volunteers do every day."
— Melodee Hanes, Acting Administrator, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, US Department of Justice

"Jewelers for Children has partnered with CASA for Children since 2003. We are proud to continue our support for the CASA cause with a $500,000 grant in 2011. By helping to fund court-appointed volunteer advocacy, we know we are helping to ensure our nation's most vulnerable children have a caring volunteer standing up for their rights, helping them find safe permanent homes and giving them hope for the future. We cannot think of a sounder investment."
— David Rocha, Executive Director, Jewelers for Children

Kappa Alpha Theta selected CASA for Children as its official philanthropy 23 years ago. Throughout that partnership, fraternity members have served countless service hours and raised millions of dollars for CASA. In the 2011 academic year alone, Theta chapters contributed more than $600,000 to CASA programs across the country. CASA for Children thanks Membership Partner Kappa Alpha Theta for its support and commitment to I am for the child™, helping us achieve our goal of ensuring the safety and well-being of every child in the foster care system by 2020.
