CASA programs are awarded grants from the National CASA Association through a competitive funding process. More than $120 million in grants have been awarded since 1993.

Increase the number of CASA programs nationwide
Strengthen and expand existing programs

National CASA strengthens and builds the capacity of local CASA programs by providing training and assistance in areas including: program development; volunteer recruitment and training; program best practices; quality assurance; and resource development. Read more about our service to programs.

National CASA raises awareness of the needs of abused and neglected children and recruits volunteers for a network of 933 local programs through media relations, online engagement and national partnerships. Read more about our awareness-raising efforts.

Contributing to National CASA is a wise investment. 85 percent of National CASA's funding was directed to program services in 2012.

2012 Financials

The National CASA Association is funded through public, private and foundation support. In 2012, 85 percent of funding received by National CASA was directed to services and support for CASA/GAL programs. More than 157 grants totaling $2.1 million were awarded to member programs to build capacity and strengthen their ability to train and support volunteers who stand up for the rights of abused and neglected children.
