Position Title: Administrative Assistant – Part Time
Department: Program – CASA FY19-FY21 Grant Project
Reports to: Pulaski County Volunteer Supervisor
Location: Waynesville, MO
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time (20 Hours)

Agency Note:
The following position is contingent on grant funding which may or may not be awarded to CASA of South Central Missouri. Because of time constraints, CASA will interview prior to the funding decision but will not extend an offer until grant notification has been made. If the funding is not approved, the position will not be created. The anticipated date for grant notification is September 30, 2018. Any offer of employment will be made on or after the official notification. If grant funding is not secured, notice will be given to all applicants.

Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant provides receptionist and clerical support to program staff and volunteers.

Essential Job Duties:
• Updating of child, case, and volunteer information.
• Assisting Volunteers with submission of monthly reports.
• Serve as a source of information for potential volunteers.
• Perform friendly, efficient office reception. greet visitors and answer telephones.
• Telephone Message control/delivery, mail preparation/distribution.
• Maintain mailing lists: active volunteers, newsletters, donors and others as assigned.
• Maintain office supplies usage and inventory.
• Assist with preparations for all meetings, trainings, public relations events as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with staff and volunteers to provide support toward achievement of goals of the CASA program.
• General cleaning & upkeep of the office(s).
• Assist with correspondences, including thank you letters and invitations.
• Other duties and special projects, as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Education:
• Experience in a clerical or social work-related field is preferred.

Certifications and Licensure:
• Must have a valid driver''''s license, car, and valid insurance

Experience and Qualifications:
• A minimum of two years’ experience in office management operations.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact positively with the public, volunteers, clients, and program personnel.
• Computer skills including knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, & Email.
• Personal maturity, a strong sense of responsibility, discretion, ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to relate well with co-workers and work as a team member.
• Ability to maintain a cheerful, positive attitude.
• A strong passion for the organization’s mission of advocacy.
